Chet from Artworks in Kenosha has been very encouraging as I've begun submitting pieces for his gallery's shows, starting with the monster exhibit last October. I recently sat in on a session with local artists at Left of the Lake, and their feedback on my work was also encouraging. I'd like to thank all of the folks who have been so kind. My fiber and photography works have taken a back seat to polymer clay lately, as I inch closer to finding my artistic voice in sculpture, but I plan to continue in all of these areas. On top of my love for those other media, they all compliment one another. Clay masks are better with handspun yarn, photography lets me share my work with the world, and sculptures may feature in some planned landscape photography that my son and I have in the works.
For now, I'd just like to let folks know that I continue to exhibit at Artworks. You can visit their website at artworkskenosha.com for details about location and hours. If you are in the Kenosha area and would like to participate, they are extending the Artist Trading Card show one more month. Bring in a 2.5"x3.5" piece, take one by a different artist. I'll be bringing in more soon!
